An incredible and somehow obscure multi-artist book. Limited to just 150 copies—of which this is number 72—Transit 2 is part artist’s book, part exhibition in print. It features contributions from both major and underrecognized figures in European and international conceptual art. Each artist offers a unique meditation on mirrors—whether physical, metaphorical, psychological, or philosophical.
The book blends text, photography, and experimental print techniques, and includes tipped-in photographs, signed prints, actual mirrors, envelope-contained postcards, and other tactile, alternative approaches to publishing and book design.
Inside is a signed postcard work by Klaus V. D. Locht, signed editions by Peter van Beveren, and a personal inscription from J.J. Beljon to his sister, Shirley Beljon.
Artists featured include:
Christian Boltanski, Ulay, Natalia LL, Michael Gibbs, Gerard Reve, Geurt van Dijk, Clareboudt, Bill Jones, Woody van Amen, Frans Babylon, Jürgen Klauke, Arnulf Rainer, Johan van Geluwe, Ben Sleeuwenhoek, Ben, Ian Breakwell, Guglielmo Achille Cavellini, Fred Escher, Ad Gerritsen, Géza Perneczky, Timm Ulrichs, Gilberte Aigrisse, Pierre Borgue, J.
