Sinclair Beiles (1930-2000), an overlooked staple of the Beat Generation, was a South African poet whose known for his collaborations with the likes of William Burroughs and Brion Gysin, with whom Beiles was a pioneer of the cut-up technique. In 1975, amidst personal turmoil, he released Sacred Fix, a jagged exploration of addiction, spirituality, and the human condition—poetry as both confession and exorcism.
