An exhibition catalogue of works to be shown at 1962’s First International Congress of African Culture, held at what was then the the Rhodes National Gallery in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia (now the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Harare, Zimbabwe). Although two congresses had previously been held in Europe, this event was the first of its kind to be held in Africa, featuring works from Simon Okeke, Selby Mvusi, Pearl Primus, Pancho Guedes and many more.
