What started in 1971 in Copenhagen’s Christianshavn neighbourhood as a squatted military base had, by the time of this publication in 1978, grown into a 1,000 member strong commune which had just secured for its inhabitants safety from eviction. Published by the SUPPORT/CHRISTIANIA/ENGLAND group, a British organisation expressing solidarity with Christiania, this zine gives a detailed, and honest, account of life in Christiania, not shying away from its flaws as well as its merits.
